The last journey of Telugu actor Uday Kiran began from his house at Srinagar colony to Film chamber and then to ESI Smashana Vatika after film celebrities paid homage to the departed actor, who committed suicide by hanging himself on Sunday night.

The final rites of Uday were performed as per the religious rituals at Erragadda burial ground. Hundreds of fans had gathered to take one last look at their beloved hero who was once hailed as the lover boy of Telugu cinema. Surprisingly, the actor's father Murthy who showed initial inhibitions to even see the body of his son lit the pyre.

The fans of Uday who were at his funeral raised slogans against Union Minister Chiranjeevi. Emotionally charged fans shoutes 'Chiranjeevi down down' slogans. The fans also demanded a probe into Uday's death.

Uday Kiran finally left this world and his body is in its final journey. After his death, there were several controversies like family reasons behind the actor’s death and later there are allegations that his family neglected taking the dead body to home. Amid all these, several fingers pointed towards the actor’s wife Vishita.

Finally, Vishita made appearance today when his body is kept in the film chamber for public to pay homage. She stood beside the body along with her mother and is weeping over husband’s body. Vishita and Uday Kiran’s marriage was a love marriage and you can see a tattoo ‘Uday’ on her hand in the picture.

సినీ తారలంటే సామాన్యుల్లో వున్న అంచనాలే వేరు. ఖరీదైన జీవితం.. అదో గ్లామర్‌ ప్రపంచం.. తారలంటే దేవుళ్ళకన్నా ఎక్కువ సినీ అభిమానులకి. కానీ, సినీ తారలైనా సరే, మనుషులే కదా. వారికీ మామూలు మనుషుల్లా కష్టాలు తప్పవు. ఆ మాటకొస్తే కష్టాలు వారికి కొంచెం ఎక్కువే. ఎంత కష్టమున్నా మొహానికి రంగేసుకున్నాక, పాత్రల్లో ఒదిగిపోవాల్సిందే. ఆ నటన అనేది సినిమాల్లో అయినా, మామూలు జీవితం గడుపుతున్నప్పుడైనా వారికి తప్పదు. ఎందుకంటే, ఏ క్షణాన అయినా సాధారణంగా కన్పించాల్సి వస్తే, తమ ఇమేజ్‌ దెబ్బ తింటుందనే భయం వారిది.

తెరపైనా.. తెరవెనుకా.. జీవితాంతం నటించాల్సి వుంటుంది.. అని నటనా రంగంలో వున్న సీనియర్లు చెబుతుంటారు. మేం నటిస్తాం, ఆ నటన వెనుక ఎన్నో కన్నీళ్ళుంటాయి, ఒక్కోసారి దుర్భరమైన జీవనం కూడా వుంటుంది.. అని వాపోతారు. సావిత్రి నుంచి దివ్యభారతిదాకా.. ఎందరో నటీమణులు ప్రేక్షకుల్ని రంజింపజేశారు, తమ జీవితాల్ని బుగ్గిపాల్జేసుకున్నారు. నటీమణులే కాదు, నటులు కూడా ఇందుకు అతీతమేమీ కాదు.

సినీ నటుడు ఉదయ్‌కిరణ్‌ మృతితో ఒక్కసారిగా తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమ శోక సంద్రంలో మునిగిపోయింది. ఉదయ్‌కిరణ్‌ ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకున్నాడన్న వార్త దావానలంలా వ్యాపించేసింది, విన్నవారంతా కన్నీరుమున్నీరయ్యారు. యువ నటుడు, ఎంతో భవిష్యత్‌ వున్న కుర్రాడు అర్థాంతరంగా తనువు చాలించాడంటే, బలవన్మరణానికి పాల్పడ్డాడంటే బాధపడనివారెవరుంటారు? అయ్యో, ఎంత కష్టమొచ్చిందో.. అని వాపోతున్నారంతా. నిజమే ఇలాంటి కష్టం పగవాడికి కూడా రాకూడదు. అయితే అది ఏ కష్టం? సినీ పరిశ్రమలో ఒకటే కష్టం.. అదే అవకాశాలు రాకపోవడం.

టాలెంట్‌ వుండీ అవకాశాలు రాకపోవడం, ఆర్థిక ఇబ్బందుల్లో కూరుకుపోవడం అనేది చాలా సాధారణమైన విషయం. కొంతమంది తమ తెలివితేటలతో కష్టాల్ని అధిగమిస్తుంటారు. కొంతమంది కష్టాల నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చే మార్గం తెలీక బలవన్మరణాలకు పాల్పడుతుంటారు. ఉదయ్‌కిరణ్‌ ఎందుకు ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకున్నాడు? అంటే పైన చేప కథ చెప్పుకున్నట్టు.. చాలా అనుమానాలు, దేనికీ సమాధానం ప్రస్తుతానికైతే దొరకడంలేదు. ప్రాథమికంగా పోలీసులు చెబుతున్నదాన్నిబట్టి అవకాశాల్లేక, ఆర్థిక ఇబ్బందుల్లో కూరుకుపోయి అతను ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకున్నాడని తెలుస్తోంది.

కానీ, ఉదయ్‌కిరణ్‌తో బాగా సాన్నిహిత్యం వున్న సినీ ప్రముఖులేమో చాలా ధైర్యంగా వుండేవాడు, కెరీర్‌ని సీరియస్‌గా తీసుకునేవాడుగానీ.. లైఫ్‌ పట్ల ఎప్పుడూ నిరాశతో వుండేవాడు కాదు.. అని చెబుతున్నారు. చిన్న కారణం చాలు, ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకోవడానికి. ఆత్మహత్య మహాపాపం.. అని ఎంతమంది చెబుతున్నా, మానసికంగా కుంగిపోయినప్పుడు చిన్న చిన్న కారణాలూ బలవన్మరణానికి దారి తీస్తాయి.

 ‘చిత్రం’ నుంచి, ‘జై శ్రీరాం’ దాకా ఉదయ్‌కిరణ్‌ చేసిన సినిమాల్లో కొన్ని ప్రేక్షకుల్ని అలరించాయి, కొన్ని నిరాశపరిచాయి. ఒక్క కమర్షియల్‌ హిట్‌ దొరికితే, హీరోగా దూసుకుపోతాడు.. అని ఉదయ్‌కిరణ్‌ గురించి సినీ పరిశ్రమలో చాలామంది అభిప్రాయపడేవారు. అతనూ అదే ధీమాతో వుండేవాడు. తమిళ సినిమాల్లో నటించాడు కానీ అవీ అతన్ని నిరాశపర్చాయి. రెండు తెలుగు సినిమాలు నిర్మాణంలో వున్నాయి. ఇంతలోనే ఈ ఘోరం జరిగిపోయింది. ఈ షాక్‌తో తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమ దిగ్భ్రాంతి చెందింది, ప్రేక్షక లోకం అయితే ఇది నిజమేనా? అన్న ఆశ్చర్యంలో వుందింకా.

కారణం ఏదైనా, ఓ తార నేల రాలింది. రియల్‌ స్టార్‌ శ్రీహరి హఠాన్మరనం తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమను ఎంతగా కలచివేసిందో, యంగ్‌ హీరో ఉదయ్‌కిరణ్‌ బలవన్మరణం దానికి పది రెట్లు సినీ జనం చేత, సినీ అభిమానుల చేత కంటతడిపెట్టించింది. ఘోరం జరిగిపోయింది.. ఉదయ్‌కిరణ్‌ ఆత్మకు శాంతి కలగాలని కోరుకోవడం, అతన్ని తలచుకుంటూ కన్నీళ్ళు పెట్టడం మినహా ఏం చేయలేం. 

The New Year has just begun and the industry is shocked by the sad demise of Uday Kiran.

Last year, many senior artistes passed away, but the suicide of Uday Kiran has come as a rude shock to the Telugu film industry.

Many of his fans, film and political personalities are yet to recover from the sudden news that has rocked the industry. Uday Kiran faced quite a few ups and downs in his life. Yet, his sudden death has come as a severe jolt to many.

However, industry insiders say there are some serious reasons behind his untimely death. It is a well-known fact that Uday Kiran made his debut with Chitram.

His chocolate boy looks got him many fans and within no time he was a sought after young hero.

Films like Nuvvu Nenu, Mansanta Nuvve followed which got him critical acclaim and got him a huge fan base. But his meteoric rise was stalled suddenly and his downfall was equally fast.

There are strong rumours in the industry that there were some big film personalities who crushed his career from blooming.

Problems in personal life, lack of film opportunities and financial problems led to his taking the drastic step say many.

When Uday Kiran was ten years old, his elder brother committed suicide. His mother passed away some time back and his father got married the second time.

It is said that he went into depression in the past one year as he had no films in hand. Though he got an opportunity to act in a Tamil film recently, it slipped out of his hand. With increasing financial debts, he is said to have committed suicide as he was left with no option.

It is said that he could not come to terms with the fact that the same industry which once put him on a pedestal, no longer cared for him. Known for his simple and sweet nature, he is never known to have taken the names of people who ruined his career. Nor did he ever complain about them and went about his own business.

Uday Kiran maintained cordial relations with one and all, so his friends are finding it difficult to believe that he is no longer with us. Many in the industry are pouring in condolences for having lost a promising actor.

Saddened by the news, industry seniors are advising young actors to understand that the film industry is a place where success and failure is part of the game and that they should not lose their inner strength and determination.
