Story

After scoring success with ‘Denikaina Ready’, Vishnu teamed up with director Veeru Potla for his new movie ‘Doosukeltha’ which is again a comedy entertainer in the lines of ‘Denikaina Ready’.

Chinna (Vishnu) always tries his best to help the people who helped him in the past.  He is witty with guts. This is our hero characterization in short.

Chinna gets his first job as crime reporter sent in to unearth the deal in thermal power project deal by Minister Dillishwer Rao (Pankaj Tripathi). After taping the deal secretly, Chinna get caught by Dillishwar Rao people who beat him to death before leaving him in open fields assuming dead.

Dr. Alekhya ( Lavanya Tripathi) finds Chinna unconscious in fields rescues him by admitting in hospital. After recovering, obviously Chinna has to know the person who rescued him. He didn’t waste any time in locating and get in touch with Alekhya .  After few meetings, Chinna smells some danger to her life becomes a savior till the end.

Who is trying to kill Alekhya and how Chinna solved her problem forms the crux of the story.

Performance

Manchu Vishnu continued from where he left off in ‘Denikaina Ready’. Vishnu should be commended for the effort he put in dances and action scenes. His comedy timing with Brahmanadnam is praiseworthy. However, styling and hairstyle is bit disappointing.

Lavanya Tripathi who mesmerized the audience with her performance in ‘Andala Rakshasi’ is failed to deliver the same.  She is OK with acting, but needs to improve her dancing skills to act in commercial movies.

Brahmanandam once again brings life to the movie. Though he is doing the same routine stuff, audiences are not enough of him. Vishnu and Brahmanadam comedy scenes are hilarious.

Pankaj Tripathi, another Bollywood import acted reasonably well in villain role. Kota Srinivas Rao, a badiie turn good in climax portrayed two shades with ease. Rao Ramesh emoted well in couple of scenes.  Vennela Kishore and Bharath entertain you towards the climax. Posani is routine with his unique dialogue delivery. Ravi Prakash, Raghu Babu, Sravan, Ahuti Prasad, Annapurna, Hema and Rajitha etc fill the screen space.

Technical

Veeru Potla chose a simple story and weaved a success formula screenplay. Nowadays, every director is taking leaf out of Srinu Vytla.  Though there are some hiccups in screenplay, director covered it with dialogues and comedy.

Manisharma composed good music and background score. Choreography in introduction song is good. Cinematography is top notch. Though there is lot of effort in action scenes, there are some lapses. Editing is OK. Production values are good.

Analysis

The movie starts with a flash back and runs almost for 15 minutes tests the patience of audience. The movie picks up slowly and gathers momentum towards the interval with twists.  But, director didn’t take much time in unraveling the twists making it a family drama. Like many films in recent past, this film also tried to cash on entertainment and we should say succeeded in their attempt.

The big drawback in the film is romance. Romance between the lead pair is not laced well. There are no romantic scenes and also emotional scenes.  Climax should have been thought differently.

Final Talk

‘Doosukeltha’ is a comedy entertainer which can be watched once for time pass.
