If one has to go by statistics then it must be said that the number one director in Tollywood is S S Rajamouli and the second place goes to Trivikram Srinivas.

So, it is natural for many star heroes and aspiring star heroes to work with these two directors.

Now, it looks like even Akkineni Akhil is also part of that club.

Recently a talk came about Akhil’s debut with Trivikram but the budding lad clarified on his Twitter account that it was not true.

However, inside talk is that though the option was there, Akhil is more interested to work with Rajamouli than Trivikram.

Some are saying there could be a reason behind this decision.

Apparently, Trivikram is more a family oriented filmmaker and has good reach in urban centers whereas Rajamouli strikes the chord with the hardcore masses.

For any actor in Tollywood, reaching the masses has been their main step to stardom so maybe Akhil is also thinking on those lines.

Just like the domestic market, the presence and significance of the overseas market has also risen in the last few years. And here is one report about the recent release ‘Bhai’ and its performance overseas.

Well, a unanimous decision has been taken on it by the NRIs and they have called it a massive disaster.

It is heard that the film was released in 40 screens and till Sunday it could collect only $ 25,000. Out of this $25000, the collection out of premiers was $11000. This is the biggest disaster of the year 2013 in overseas market, as per the cine analysts.

$1,00,000 is the amount invested on overseas rights. But the film has resulted in losing big sum by the buyers.

The film was directed by Veerabhadram and produced by Nagarjuna.

Recently giving hits in not so type casted roles like Ramdasu, SaiBaba, Rajanna, Greekuveerudu King Nag's "Bhai", all set for grand release in India and overseas on October 25.

The movie digital content is successfully downloaded at USA Technicolor labs and all hard drives are ready to dispatch for respective premier show locations across USA by tomorrow.

This time Nagarajuna is going on biggest release for the first time in his career with highest number of theaters in Overseas and in India.

Meanwhile a strong positive talk is circulating in filmnagar circles with Bhai during this festive season.

As per inside sources it is heard that the film has got good dose of entertainment and action comedy. Also, the first half of the movie is going to be highlight. Nag looks stylish as usual and the punch dialogues are enormous pointing towards one of the commercial success films of Tollywood.

One of the highlights of the film apart from Nag’s role and storytelling, Bramhanadam will be through the second half and is going to bring cascading effect of laugh riot with most repeated audience in recent times.

Bhai is directed by Veerabhadram who already scored two consecutive hits with 'Aha Naa Pellannta" and "Poola Rangadu" and getting ready for career start hat-trick.

Please tune to your local advertising boards for premier shows Oct 24th timings.

The ongoing Telangana issue has taken its toll heavily on the growth of Andhra Pradesh and the feelings of Telugu people. In this bargain, the Tollywood industry also has seen extreme damages. Recently it is heard that even Nagarjuna had to face some heat due to this issue but he handled it very well.
According to sources, Nag is currently busy with the shooting of his film ‘Manam’ being shot in a prestigious way. For the film, there was a requirement of few actors and it is heard that they did a shortlisting of candidates from the Annapurna International School of Film and media. The final list comprised of members from both Telangana and Andhra region.
However, it is heard that one of the students who didn’t get shortlisted raked up an issue stating that he was not selected because he is from Telangana and is also a strong Telangana state seeker. Not stopping at that, he reportedly brought in few members who are like the Telangana activists. All this drama reportedly went to the notice of Nag and he entered the scene to sort it.
Sources say Nag made it very clear that the entire selection happened based on merit and requirement and it had nothing to do with the region. He reportedly enlightened them by reminding about taking one Telangana person also for the film. In the end, Nag reportedly made it clear that the group can do whatever they want but from the school’s end, everything was done professionally and not due to any silly regional hatred. Well done Nag!

In Tollywood there are many cine families and all of them have got their own share of respect and regard in society. An ideal family would always make it a point to show unity even when they have several internal issues but that doesn’t seem to be the case with few cine families. In the recent past, things have gone astray.
That way, the Akkineni family is setting a good example. This is only one family which shows solid unity. For any film related event of their family, right from ANR to Sushant to Akhil everyone comes in full attendance and supports. The bonding is very good among the members.

That has not been the case with the other two big families. The mega family has few issues and it can be seen during their film related events. And the latest to join that list is the Nandamuri family which is having no holds in displaying their differences. The recent audio release function of the film ‘Om’ is the best example to show what kind of unity the Nandamuri family has. Let us hope folks learn from the Akkineni family.

-Greeku-Veerudu-Review
What is “Greeku Veerudu” about?
Greekuveerudu is the story of Chandu (Nagarjuna) who is the owner of an Event Management company in US. He is a happy go lucky guy who spend lot of time and money on girls. Once he agrees for an Event and fails in executing it. And a clause in the agreement leads him to trouble of paying 5 Million dollar compensation to the client (Ashish Vishyardhi). Chandu’s assets together could not meet the sum and he finally decides to charm his grandfather (K. Vishwanath) in India and get a share in his 1000 crore property. In the process, Sandhya (Nayantara) enters his life. What happens next in Chandu’s life forms the crux of the story.

Nagarjuna Greeku-Veerudu-Review
How is Nagarjuna in the movie?
To sum up in one line, Nagarjuna is every man’s envy and every woman’s dream hero. He looked very slim and trim with good looks. He also put in decent efforts in dances especially in the first song, I hate love stories.

Director Dasarath-Greeku-Veerudu-Review
How is Dasarath direction?
As every movie of his, Dasaradh focused on family relations and values. The story of the movie looked like reverse engineering of his earlier movie, Santosham. But the director was not fully able to draw enough emotions from his characters. Some of them looked too artificial and awkward at some point. There is no conflict point in the movie till the interval. The second half goes on a predictable lines. Screenplay is highly predictable.

Nayanatara-Greeku-Veerudu-Review
What about Nayatara, Meera Chopra, Brahmi, MS and others ?
Nayantara looked good and made a good pair with Nagarjuna on screen. K.Vishwanath has got a tailor made role as grand father and he is good. Ashish Vidyardhi is okay.
MS Narayana in the first half and Brahmi in the second half took care of comedy. Thagubothu Ramesh entertained for few minutes. JP’s limited comedy as deaf man is nice. Rest of them are all okay in their parts.

Thaman-Greeku-Veerudu-Review
How is Music, Songs, Dances &other departments?
Thaman had given his drums rest for this movie, the songs are high on melody in typical Dasaradh style. Back ground score is okay too. Choreography is very good in couple of songs. Though Nag did decent dance in “I hate love stories” song his dance step looked very funny in ‘O baby I am in love’ song.

Brahmanandam-Greeku-Veerudu-Review
Highlights?
1. Nagarjuna looks.
2. Brahmi’s comedy (Punch dialogues, imaginary song with Nayan and his conversation with dogs are very hilarious to name a few).
3. MS comedy to some extent.

MS Narayana-Greeku-Veerudu-Review
Any Drawbacks?
1. Predictable story
2. Pale climax
This & That
- Kota as villain is not at all justified. With just a single fight he decides to quit the village!
- Kids episode in US and CG work handled badly.
- Nag jumps from a skyscraper with a kid to make him happy!!
- Nag speaks in Telugu with an American lady.

Meera Chopra-Greeku-Veerudu-Review
What about its box office prospects?
The first half of the movie is decent with some good comedy scenes between Nagarjuna and MS Narayana. The tempo of the movie went down couple of times but quickly recovered. The other half of the movie gets a bit slow and predictable especially after Brahmi’s exit. The kids sentiment gets overboard and the effect of it is seen on the audience towards the end of the movie.
The movie will go well with the family crowds who come out in good numbers during the summer season. We will have to see how it goes with the masses.

Movie Rating: 2.25/5
FINISHING Line:  Just Average fare, strictly for fans!
