The general business formula of medium budget and small budget cinema is
that once it hits the screens and scores a hit then all TV channels
rush to the makers and buy the satellite rights at big prices. But that
doesn’t seem to be the case with one film which was made at an economic
budget and scored good success.
This is ‘Bus Stop’ starring Prince and Sri Divya along with few others. According to sources, not even one TV channel is buying the film and it is lying rejected. This is because of the film’s content and sources say such films don’t work at all for family and home audiences.
Even when the film was running in theatres it was subject to a lot of criticism for the amount of perversion it had. So it was obvious that the small screen circuit will not be interested to take up such a project. It now remains to be seen what adjustments the makers would do to ensure the film gets some takers.
