Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru , a tamil film is simultaneously shot in Telugu titled Something Something with almost same cast. However, the interesting part of the story is Samantha and Rana Daggubati have made guest appearance. Director sunder c has delivered a hit within blowing the budget, especially when it comes to comedy genre.Secondly, Bramhanandam ability to resurrect so many movies one after the other without showing any signs slow-down is nothing short of miracle. Both Siddarth and Bramhanandam play the key roles in making ‘something something’ is a decent time-pass for this rainy season.

As a match making consultant(similar to the one played by will smith in ‘Hitch’), Bramhanandam as Love Guru Premji tries to bring the hero and heroine during the first half and later tries to separate them in second half. watch the movie to find out reasons as it is probably the only novel aspect as the story goes.

Technical aspects:

Director Sunder C. has innate ability to get the best out of comedians as proven many times. He did a fantastic job and is in good touch with direction and screenplay.

Music by Sathya is fresh and has given some catchy songs and tunes. The song picturization and choreography of  ‘Bam Bam Bam’ stands out as the pick of the lot. Satya could have avoided the heavy influence of Bollywood hit song in ‘kozhu kozhu’.

Pizza fame Gopi Amarnath’s camera work is passable and appears to be rushed especially in both the foreign songs shot in Japan.

Performances:

Siddarth has played extremly well and clearly showing his intentions to reach out to mass audience with his selection of movies. In many scenes Siddarth doesn’t show any qualms in setting up a number of scenes for Bramhanandam to score. Hansika has strong screen presence throughout the movie. Hansika is ebullient as she brings in extra oomph and energy with her cutesy dance movies. The curtain falls with the entire cast dancing along with Khushboo.

Plus:

Good script
Bramhanandam’s presence
Siddarth-Hansika chemistry
comedy

Mius:

Predictability of story
repeated climax scenes

Conclusion:

Despite all these oft-repeated climax scenes and predictability, one needs to give credit to the director’s intelligent writing and Bramhanandam’s masterful delivery, which ensures sending audience return home happy.

The movie works because of a mix of blend with comedy elements and commercial formula with apropriate casting of bevy of stars for the right duration and footage.

Verdict of the Movie: Story is Nothing - Brahmi is Everything.
