Sahasam Movie Review

What is “Sahasam” about?
Sahasam is the story of a security guard, Gautam who is very angry with his poverty and wants to become rich. One day, he finds that he has an ancestral treasure buried some where in Pakistan. With the help of Sreenidhi (Tapsee), a religious girl, he reaches there. In the process of searching for the treasure, he encounters with dread terrorists and other problems. Will he be able to do it? forms the rest of the story.

How is Gopichand?
Gopichand has lost oodles of weight for this movie and is looking very fit. He is a perfect fit for the role and his acting in action sequences will command accolades from the audience. He should improve in dealing with romantic and subtle sequence.

How is Chandra Shekar Yeleti direction?
Chandra Sekhar Yeleti always chooses different themes for his movies. Treasure hunt theme is not new for our Tollywood but the way he connected dots well with Terrorism. Yeleti has set a new standard in technical values with the movie.

What about Tapsee,Aali and others ?
Tapsee plays a simple role in the movie. Almost a girl next door character and she came out well in the role. Ali’s comedy track is okay. Shakthi Kapoor is excellent as a dreaded terrorist. Narayana Murthy is ok as Gopichand’s father. Suman is good in a brief role.

How is Music, Songs, Dances &other departments?
The back ground score of the movie is excellent. Yeleti has limited the songs in the movie to make the story more intriguing and it will work. Songs do have very little scope for dances. Shamdat’s cinematography is speechless. Every frame is picture perfect. Editing is good as well. All the action sequences are realistically composed.

What about its box office prospects?
Yeleti’s familiar foe is back again. His movies usually go well with audience but no one could predict its commercial success. Sahasam is no different. The movie will be appreciated for its content and commercial success has to be seen.
