The simmering differences in the first family of Telugu Desam Party came to the fore once again.
Junior NTR skipped the wedding ceremony of his uncle Nandamuri Balakrishna's daughter held in Hyderabad amidst much fanfare.
While a galaxy of film personalities, politicians and industrialists attended the glittering ceremony, Junior NTR gave it a miss.
Balakrishna's second daughter Tejaswini tied the knot with Bharat at a star-studded ceremony at the Hitex Grounds.
The observers says that the young actor is miffed over the manner in which he and his family was sought to be ignored by the Nandamuri family.
Though he is very much in Hyderabad, Junior NTR chose not to attend the wedding. He is shooting for a film in Hyderabad. It is said that the Nandamuri family gave him the wedding card in the last minute, just a day before the marriage. This has infuriated Junior NTR who is already nursing a strained relationship with his Babayi.
For several fans of Junior NTR who were waiting to see him attend the wedding and bless the couple, it was a disappointment.
The Telugu Desam Party chief and Balakrishna's brother-in-law N Chandrababu Naidu was seen inviting the guests and introducing them to the couple. Junior NTR's no-show at the event reflected a widening rift between Nara and Nandamuri families.
The rupture can be traced to a battle of succession in the TDP. Junior NTR did not attend the party's Mahanadu this year. In the ongoing succession war, Balakrishna is said to be backing Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh.
On the other hand, Junior NTR's father Nandamuri Harikrishna is keen on seeing his son take over the party's reins to continue the legacy of late NTR.
