Chennai will be hosting the grand celebrations of 100 years of Indian cinema starting Sep 21. It will be a four-day event and all the four southern industries (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada) will come together for this big event.
Amitabh Bachchan has been invited to attend the event on the final day. He is likely to be part of the valedictory function. The four chief ministers of all the southern states are also expected to attend the event. The event is being planned for the last few months, and it is now finally taking shape.
50 artists from each industry will be honored during this event. It is also said that 50 stamps will be released on this occasion. Each industry will recommend some names of their stars to be presented on the stamps.
