It appears that the film ‘Thoofan’ is creating enough Thoofan even before it releases.
Overseas reports state that an issue is happening. Here are the details.
A US distributor bought ‘Thoofan/Zanjeer’ from Reliance Films. Before release he must give the total payment but it is heard that he gave part payment.
However, now overseas Distributer realized cinema is not working so now he is not paying. But then he has already sold the film to few exhibitors across different states.
Like any other distributer he too has planned to pay the balance to the producers after collecting money from Exhibitors. But they failed to do so due to lack of demand from Exhibitors. As expected, the Reliance person has started creating trouble and the distributor said ”That rate is difficult so please reduce the buying price”.
For this, the Reliance folks reportedly asked the distributor to buzz off and they will release the film on their own. Now the big loosers will be the Exhibitors those biught film from the Distributors.
Many say the negative talk for cinema has become big minus.
