Hyderabad: Film stars Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu have denied reports which suggested that they are planning to join politics and have decided to support Telugu Desam.
In a press note issued in the name of Naga Babu, the two brothers said that these reports are entirely baseless and they are busy in their film profession.
In the note, Nagababu also rubbished reports which said the two brothers are actually planning to launch a political party.
Naga Babu expressed concern that fans and people are getting confused with the media reports in this regard. Nagababu said in the press note,”we are concerned that such reports have been published in the media without actually consulting us. Media also failed to seek our version while publishing such reports.”
The news of their political entry is doing rounds for the past couple of days. The two brothers discussed the issue in this backdrop and the press note has been released in the name of K. Nagendra Babu, who is popular as Nagababu.
It is also believed that the two actors came into touch with their elder brother and Union Tourism minister Chiranjeevi.
The press note comes just a day after some TDP leaders showed enthusiasm in the news that Pawan Kalyan may join TDP. However TDP senior leaders Kodela Sivaprasada Rao and Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that the actors have not approached any TDP leader with any proposal.
The success of Pawan Kalyan-starrer "Attarintiki Daredi" and the way the actor spoke in the 'Success meet' of the movie seem to have spawned such speculation, it is now believed.
