| This is one of the memorable days in the history of telangana. It is like independence to Telangana State. This has to be celebrated in Telangana districts as a festival but very few people are aware of what 17th Sept. stands for in the history of Telangana. A Holiday has to be declared on this day as a mark of respect to many telanganites who laid their lives in getting Telangana. There are many villages in Telangana which has contributed a lot to separate Telangana. One such village is Bairanpally situated in Maddur Mandal of Warangal Dist. Almost 150 people laid down their lives fighting against Nizam's rule in a single day. There are many such villages in Telangana who have strived for separate Telangana. This is a good occasion for all of us to pay tributes to these Martyrs and strive for the cause of separate Telangana. |
