Hyderabad: The city has witnessed a repeat of ‘Nirbhaya case’ in its software-centric area of Madhapur.

Two youth have been nabbed by Cyberabad police and cases under Nirbahya Act were filed against them after they confessed to kidnapping and raping a software employee.

The two accused were presented before the media in the presence of Cyberabad police commissioner CV Anand. The commissioner said that a case will be filed under the Nirbhaya Act. 

The accused were nabbed three days after the incident, based on video footage obtained from a CCTV camera installed outside a private college building.

The youth named Satish and Venkatesh kidnapped the victim in a car and took her to Kollur forest area from Madhapur and subjected her to horror for six hours.

నలుగురు వ్యక్తులు ఓ మహిళపై అత్యాచారం చేసినట్లు ఫిర్యాదు అందింది. నలుగురిలో ఇద్దరి కోసం పోలీసులు గాలిస్తున్నారు. మహిళ ఫిర్యాదు చేయగానే పోలీసులు ఇద్దరిని అరెస్టు చేశారు. మరో ఇద్దరు రైలు ఎక్కి, సంఘటనా స్థలం నుంచి పారిపోయినట్లు భావిస్తున్నారు. 

సరుగ్జా ప్రాంతంలోని బైకుంఠాపురంలో గల తన అత్తారింటికి వెళ్లడానికి మహిళ శుక్రవారం ఐదో నెంబర్ ప్లాట్‌ఫాంపై నిలబడింది. ఆమెను నలుగురు యువకులు బలవంతంగా లాక్కెళ్లి ఆమెపై అత్యాచారం జరిపారు. నిందితుల్లో ఒకతన్ని 26 ఏళ్ల దినేష్ సాహుగా పోలీసులు గుర్తించారు. అతను కాంట్రాక్టర్‌గా పనిచేస్తున్నాడు. మరో నిందితుడు మైనర్ అని తెలుస్తోంది. మరో ఇద్దరిని పట్టుకోవడానికి వివిధ ప్రాంతాలకు పోలీసులను పంపించారు. 

బిలాస్‌పూర్ రైల్వే స్టేషన్‌లోనూ, దాని పరిసర ప్రాంతాల్లోనూ ఇటీవలి కాలంలో నేరాలు పెరిగిపోయాయి. ఆగస్టులో ఏడేళ్ల బాలికపై బిలాస్‌పూర్ సమీపంలో హౌరా ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్‌లో అత్యాచారం జరిగినట్లు ఆరోపణలు వచ్చాయి.

GUWAHATI: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped by five minor boys in the Hatigaon area here.

The girl was gang raped near her home on Sunday night when her mother was out on work as a daily wage earner, police said on Tuesday. 

The five boys aged between 12 to 16 years, who are her neighbours and play together, called her outside her house and then gang raped her, according to the FIR filed by the mother at Basistha police station. 

On her mother's return from work the girl told her about the incident and she was immediately taken to the police station where the complaint was filed, the sources said. 

All the five boys have been taken into custody and will be produced in the Juvenile Court here on Wednesday, police said, adding, the girl after medical examination was now in the State Home for Women for her rehabilitation.

HAPUR: A 32-year-old married woman was allegedly raped at gunpoint by her neighbour in Garhmukteshwar here, police said on Monday.


The incident occurred last evening when the victim, a mother of three, had gone to mow grass in the field. The accused came there and raped the woman at gun point. 

"After raping her, the accused also threatened her of killing her children if she revealed her ordeal to anyone," a senior police officer said. 

However, woman told her husband about the incident and later filed a complaint against him at Simbhawali police station. 

In her FIR, she has further alleged that the accused had raped her one-and-a-half-months ago also. 

"Police is investigating the case and the accused would be arrested soon," the officer said.

MUMBAI: City police commissioner Satya Pal Singh on Friday said the trial against the five accused, who gang-raped a photo journalist, will take place in a fast track court. 

The girl, who was reportedly on an assignment for photoshoot at Shakti Mills near Lower Parel on Thursday, was raped by five youths. Her male friend was assaulted by the accused, who tied him to a tree. 

"We have formed 20 teams to investigate the case. We will make a watertight case and it will be heard in a fast track court for faster justice," the city police chief said. 

The police have so far arrested only one accused while the other four have been identified. 

"The arrested accused has confessed to his crime. We will seek maximum punishment for the accused," he added. 

According to the commissioner, the accused told the girl and her male colleague that they were on railway property where photography was not allowed. 

Suspects first approached victim and her colleague to harass them.

MEERUT: A Class XI student was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by four youths fromThanaKankarkheda area of Meerut district, police said on Monday. 

According to the FIR registered by the girl, she was alone on July 25 when four youths from her village forcibly entered the house. She was drugged and taken in a car to the neighbouring Ghaziabad district where she was gang-raped by the four accused, they said. 

On Saturday, the accused fled after dropping the victim at a lonely spot in Ghaziabad, Kankarkheda police officer said. 

The traumatized girl mustered enough courage to inform her family about the incident, following which she was taken to the police station and a case was registered against the four accused, police officer said. 

The victim has been sent for medical examination, he said adding that efforts are on to arrest the accused. 

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh): A 19-year-old college student in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district has alleged that she is being blackmailed by four college students, two of who raped her a few weeks ago and filmed the sexual attack on a cellphone.
 
The girl, a first year degree student, has told the police that one of them was her boyfriend. He deceived and lured her to his room, where he and his friend raped her, the girl has alleged.

The boys along with their friends reportedly blackmailed her and demanded money, threatening to put the photos and video on the Internet and make CDs to embarrass her publicly in case she dared to complain to the police, she says.
 
The police have taken into custody four youth. The accused have been booked under anti-rape law and SC/ST atrocities prevention act.

New Delhi: A 24-year-old woman was critically injured here after a man inserted an iron rod into her mouth during a rape attempt, police said Tuesday.

Anil Kumar, 26, a cable operator tried to rape the woman finding her alone at her house in south Delhi's Lajpat Nagar around 8.30 pm Monday, said the officer.

 "Kumar went to the woman's home to collect monthly rent for the cable TV. Finding the woman alone, he tried to rape her. He inserted an iron rod inside her mouth when she was crying for help," said the officer.

HYDERABAD: At a time when the nation is debating over reducing the age of juvenile accused, a five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a class X student while she was playing near her house in Manchal on Friday evening. The victim is presently undergoing treatment at Niloufer hospital and her condition is said to be stable.

The Manchal police said at 4 pm the 15-year-old boy met the victim, who was playing near her house. “The boy called her to play hide-and-seek and took her to a cattle shed and forced himself on her. As the victim started to scream, her father came rushing and found the boy committing the offence,” Manchal inspector T Venugopala Swamy told STOI. The victim and culprit were neighbours, police said.

After the incident, the victim was taken to Government Hospital at Ibrahimpatnam, but doctors there advised the parents to shift her to Niloufer Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.

Based on a complaint by the victim’s family, the boy was taken into custody. He would be produced before the juvenile court.
