Less than a fortnight after the Mumbai Crime Branch booked a Hyderabad-based chartered accountancy student for hacking Income Tax returns account of industrialist Anil Ambani, a case has been filed against another CA student, this time from Noida, for breaking into I-T accounts of Bollywood bigwigs Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and cricket stars Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

The cops stumbled upon the second breach while investigating the Hyderabad case because the Noida student - identified as Sanchit K, 22 - too had accessed Ambani's account. "We found out that the account was accessed from two places - Hyderabad and Noida. Our investigation led us to the girl from Chikkadpally.When we asked her,she denied she had accessed the account from Noida, or for that matter knew anybody there. We, therefore, realised that one more person had hacked the account," Senior Inspector Mukund Pawar, incharge of the Cyber Crime Cell.

Sanchit,son of a small trader,has told investigators that he hacked the accounts out of curiosity. Unlike the Hyderabad-based CA student,who had downloaded Ambani's I-T returns, he merely skimmed through Shah Rukh, Salman, Sachin and Dhoni's accounts. Joint Commissioner of Police(crime) Himanshu Roy said the two cases have highlighted the fragility of the I-T portal.

Sanchit was booked by the Cyber Crime Cell after his computer and hard disks were seized from Vishal Kaushal Company, an accountancy firm in Noida, where he was doing his articleship. Sanchit was not arrested.

The Hyderabad-based girl too was doing her articleship with an accountancy firm -- Manoj Daga & Company. The Cyber Crime Cell found on her computer details of the returns filed by Ambani over the past few years. Sanchit accessed Ambani's I-T details on June 22 and June 26 after requesting that a new password be sent on his email account. He accessed Shah Rukh and Salman's accounts on June 22, Dhoni's on June 24 and 28, and Sachin's account on July 4. His modus operandi was identical on each occasion. In all five cases, the Cyber Crime Cell has now recorded statements of people responsible for handling the accounts.

Meanwhile, the Crime Branch has summoned Income Tax department officers responsible for the portal's upkeep to record their statements and also to impress upon them the importance of beefing up the web site's security.

There is a huge element of risk predicting a film which has a potential of doing record breaking business at box office. But that is our business and we will keep it as simple as possible. Would not be nice if all records are broken this August at the Indian box office.

Despite that if we consider a conservative figure for CE, it should release in at least 3500 screens all India and it may shoot up to never heard figure of 3600-3700+ screens. Thus, it will be the widest release in India surpassing Dabangg 2. With Ticket price hiked by 5-10% on average across all India, film has a huge potential at Box Office. Ideally CE has potential of collecting 37-38 crore nett at Box Office in a single day if registered 100% occupancy.

Economics of CE -

Film Budget - There is no official announcement of the landing cost of Chennai Express. Yes, there is a segment of media which has stated the budget as high as 85-90 crore. But as per our assumption Budget of CE should be around Rs 70-75 crore (Inclusive of Publicity and Marketing).

Satellite Rights - Yes, here is an official announcement that satellite rights for CE was sold at around 40 crore + incentive from box office performance.

Amount Recovered Pre-Release - Around 48 crore is already recovered from Satellite Rights, Music Rights, Home Video and Others. This is bare minimum.

Amount needed by Makers/Producers/Investors to Earn Profit - Around another 25-27 crore needed by the makers for break even and anything above that mark will be the profits. That means CE has to collect around 50-55 crore nett from India & Overseas combined so that makers/producers are in safe zone. It should be easily recovered in first 2 days worldwide.

Amount needed by Distributors to Earn Profit - Now this is the most important factor for a FilmClean Hit Verdict. If from Overseas CE is able to collect say $8 Million, which should be easy as it is SRK starrer and he is the undisputed King there. In fact realistically CE has every chance to collect $10 Million or even more. If we take $8 Million (Rs 46-47 crore) as bare minimum from overseas, then theatrical distributor share will be around 19-20 crore. Then around another 55 crore distributor share needs to be recovered from India Theatricals for Distributor to break even and more to earn profit. For that CE needs to collect around 110 crore nett from Indian Box Office for break even and if it crosses this margin then it will be a Clean Hit.

Box Office Prediction of CE -

Opening Day (National Holiday because of EID) - Huge 30 crore nett or even more, with every chance of breaking ETT Opening Day and Biggest Single Day Record. Occupancy is considered around 80-85%+ for the day and if it reaches 90% or more than collection may be even higher with 33-34+ crore nett.

Opening Weekend (Thursday Paid Preview, Friday - EID, Saturday - BASI EID, Sunday) -

If Accepted - 70+ crore nett. Will be a Record.

If Mixed - 55-65 crore nett.

If Rejected - Less than 50 crore nett.

First Week (Includes 15th August Holiday) -

If Accepted - 115+ crore nett.

If Mixed - 95-114 crore nett.

If Rejected - Less than 85-90 crore nett.

Mumbai: A visibly angry Shah Rukh Khan finally appeared at a much-awaited press meet following the controversy that portions of his article in Outlook magazine called ‘Being a Khan’ has stirred up.

The actor seemed emotional as he read out a lengthy statement and chunks from his article, which he wrote for a weekly English magazine, to address the controversy at an event here, saying, "I do not even understand the basis of this controversy."

Reiterating that people should read his article before commenting, Shah Rukh lashed out at the critics saying, “Ironically what I said in the article is precisely what has happened. People who haven’t even read it are following others who haven’t read it either.”

He termed the whole controversy as “nonsense” and said that he doesn’t even “understand the basis of the controversy” created by the little snippets of statements taken out of context. “Let us not be mislead be those who use religion as a tool,” he said.

Shah Rukh added, "Being a public figure makes me prone to any kind of questioning, good and bad and at sometimes and on sometimes makes me an object of controversy as people use my name and statements to attach any positive or negative sentiment to it. This is the life I chose and stand by it...I am, because of the love and admiration that comes with being who I am in my profession. I thank everyone for making me the star I am."

According to him, the article he wrote was "actually meant to reiterate that some occasions might being an Indian Muslim filmstar is misused by bigot and narrow-minded people who have misplaced religious ideologies for small gains" and ironically the same has happened through this article once again.

He said that when his children ask him what his religion is, his response always is – “I tell my children that you are an Indian first and your religion is humanity.”

"My own family and friends, are like a mini India...where all religions, professions and a few wrongs included, all are treated with tolerance and understanding and regard for each other...I stand indebted to my audience in my country and around the world. It is sad that I have to say it to prove it, in my country, which my father fought for, during the Independence struggle."

He went on to request the media present not to “sensationalize and trivialize matters of national interest and religion.”

To Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik’s advice to India that SRK must be given security he said in a harsh tone that India was a safe and secular country. "We haver an amazing democratic, free and secular way of life. In the environment that we live here in my country India, we have no safety issues regarding life and material. As a matter-of-fact, it is irksome for me to clarify this non-existent issue".

“My safety has been never an issue to me and should not be an issue to others,” he said.

He added - “It just takes a heart to give love. I am a Khan and to be a Khan is to love and be loved back.”

He ended his strong rebuttal quoting passages from the entire article to prove his point before finishing by requesting the media to ask him questions concerning his movies henceforth.

“24 hours of unwanted controversy is more than enough. Let me get back to what I do best – that of making movies,” he said.
The furore started after Pakistan's Interior Minister Rahman Malik said that India should take care of Khan's security, drawing sharp reaction from India with the government as well as the political class saying should be more worried over security of its citizens.

The controversy stemmed from the actor's remarks that he sometimes became inadvertent object of political leaders who choose to make him a symbol of all that they think is wrong and unpatriotic about Muslims in India.
