Nampally Court on Monday has dismissed the case of Ram Gopal Varma on Censor Officer Dhana Lakshmi. They have cited ‘lack of evidence’ as the reason for the dismissal. Ram Gopal Varma failed to provide allegations levied on Dhana Lakshmi before the court. The issue can totally be misfired now, Dhana Lakshmi may even come up with defamation suite on RGV for his allegations in Public with out any proofs.
Dhanalakshmi reportedly suggested 34 cuts to Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya-2 and on the other side, the Hindi version of the movie passed with A certificate and zero cuts. While RGV’s assistants approached her regarding the same, she reportedly treated them rashly and asked them to ‘Shut Up’. In the case, Ramu alleged that Dhanalakshmi harassed, caused financial loss , over stepped her authority and has used abusive language on his staff.

Suchitra Krishnamurty, the singer and actress who was busy in mid 90s has come up with a fictional memoir 'Drama Queen' in which she came out with many interesting episodes of her life.

In an episode she also mentioned her tryst with Ramgopal Varma. During mid 2000s when she worked with RGV for the films like 'My Wife's Murder' and 'Rann', she sent an sms to him 'Ramu! Will you marry me". To this RGV asked Suchitra to come for a meeting.

When Suchitra met him, he replied (as mentioned in the book), " “Suchitra I think you have misunderstood me. Completely. We are not similar at all. Never. I don’t believe in the institution of marriage. I am just not the marrying kind. I use women only for sex and I am very sure that’s not what you want. I like women’s bodies but not their brains. In my opinion, a woman should be seen and not heard.”

Suchitra was shocked by this as well as loved him more for his honesty.

This Suchitra-RGV affair was never into public and now with 'Drama Queen' it has made a spice filled substance for many. Well, this interesting episode was not mentioned either in 'Na Ishtam' or 'Vodka With Varma', the two books those unveiled the inner self of RGV.

It is to be underlined that Suchitra was the wife of ace film director Sekhar Kapoor when she made this proposal to RGV.

The most controversial Censor officer, Dhanalakshmi finally chose to respond to the allegation of Ram Gopal Varma. This is what she has to say:
“I did not suggest 30-40 cuts as alleged, I just asked to change the names of the characters (in Satya-2) as they resembled real persons. I already got a memorandum from a TV channel regarding the name of a TV channel CEO in the movie. It is the decision of 5 members who watched the movie then. If Ramu has some problems, he should have gone to the revising committee”
However, the controversial officer avoided answering questions like Why is she is watching only one movie per day against her work guidelines and other corruption related issues. She also alleged that Ramu is speaking what the media wants and Media is telecasting what Ramu needs. The film characters in Satya-2 had resemblance to TV 9 Ravi Prakash, DGP Dinesh Reddy and Industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, whose forte is underworld sagas, says "Satya 2" will be his last film on the underworld and that now he wants to make romantic movies.

Some of his hit gangster dramas are "Satya", "Company" and "Sarkar".

"Yes, this ('Satya 2') may be my last film on underworld. I don't think I want to make a gangster film after 'Satya 2'. The effect of the underworld is not much left," Varma told IANS.

"Satya 2", a sequel to 1998 hit film "Satya, features newcomers and is slated for an Oct 25 release.

When asked whether he would make romantic films now, he said: "Yes, love story is something I want to make now. I have two love stories scripts ready. One is about martial arts and the film will go on floors by end of this year."
