There were a lots of buzz that Telugu movie Attarintiki Daredi would be remade in Tamil and Ilayathalapathy Vijay had expressed his interest over remaking it in the Kollywood. Fans of the actor were happy and thrilled because the Telugu movie, which set a new record at the Box Office, would feature their favourite hero. Well, now our sources have said that the actor is not starring in the remake.
According to sources, Vijay was indirectly approached to star in the Attarintiki Daredi remake. He was told about the success of the film in the Telugu industry. But he was not excited about the project. It is said that the Thalaivaa star told them that he was not keen on doing remakes anymore. Hence, he turned down the offer straight away.
Following the massive success of Attarintiki Daredi, many producers from Tamil had approached producer BVSN Prasad for the remake rights. It was said that Vijay wanted to remake the movie in Tamil, as he had tasted a lot of success in remake flicks earlier. The official statement was awaited. Well, now it seems like the hunt for the lead star has begun, as the Nanban actor has opted out of the project.
