Doctor's profession is a real challenging commitment to the service that requires high level of skill and precision. To make a tough job even tougher, doctors also have to deal with the reality that even a small professional mistake could drastically affect a patient’s life.

As they are dedicated and observant of human suffering and committed to helping others, suggesting remedy for health and happiness. Since they are passionate about the discoveries and innovations that can save our lives.

It is also time to thank those behind modern medical gadgets, scientists discoveries of numerable medicines, para medical staff & the pharma sector to cure the much dreaded diseases. As a team of well wishers they all put together done a yeoman service to the society.

Doctor’s Day is also significant for the doctors themselves as it provides them with an opportunity to revitalise and rededicate themselves to the practice of medicine. All doctors begin their professional lives with the noble ideas of serving humanity and healing these in need.

However some practitioners lose the right of these ideas and become corrupt and unethical.

Doctor’s Day is thus a time for those doctors to reflect on their careers, realize the responsibility they bear and redirect themselves onto an ethical path of healing those in need. They must know that, till today, the most sophisticated and high tech instrument for a practicing doctor is his hands! But many a time doctors forget to use it. They should realize that it is the humane touch which really distinguishes us and makes a strong patient-doctor’s tie and we must always strive to protect it. They must know that it is till this humane touch that cures more than fifty per cent of an individual’s illness. For the remaining 50 per cent of the management of the diseases justified and optimized use of the technologies is the key to success.

Today’s doctors have access to technology which could only be dream t about a decade ago. But health care faces mounting challenges in the face of – aging population, global obesity epidemic, rising toll of premature death due to cancer, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and diabetes, alarming rise in AIDS, pandemic and epidemic outbreak of avian and swine-flu, and other chronic conditions specially GIT related problems and low back pain.

We are also facing lots of health problems due to natural calamities like drought, global warming, flood, cyclone, earthquake as well as man made disasters like bomb blasts. On the other hand, the change in disease profile, shortage of trained manpower, health insurance and increase in credit billing, faster technological advancement and high patient-consumer expectation are some other great challenges for health care providers in the present era.

Of course there were here and there some diagnostics, surgery, administration of drug errors which can be reduced to a greater level with more caution and specializations.

The cost of medications are a bit high due to the present era of Every thing has its own price...

May be we need to sustain those hefty medical bills with timely check ups, preventing measures by identifying the initial stages of ailments and with a better medical insurance schemes apart from the need of governmental measures for a better health care.

Continuous awareness of early health along with developing technologies facilitate health care providers to diagnose disease at the earliest possible stage when among many treatment options, medicine is the better one. It also makes simple economic sense. Currently, patients with cardiac disease have about a 50 per cent chance of survival as their treatment begins at the onset of symptoms due to excellent diagnosis by the experienced hands with the advances in diagnostic tools.

Similarly, cost for late-stage treatment of any cancer can be five to six times higher than treatment following early discovery at stage one. Effective prediction and early screening solutions provide information that enables physicians to intervene earlier before the disease advances on its deadly course.

Health is Wealth and let us preserve by our continuous monitoring and safety measures rather than suffer.
