Ys Jagan was granted bail, The lion is out

After being in Chanchalguda jail for as many as 484 days in connection with the alleged illegal assets case, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy finally got bail from the CBI special court on Monday.

Amidst high tension, the special court granted bail to Jagan on submission of a personal bond for Rs 2 lakh and two surities. The court, however, asked Jagan not to leave Hyderabad and asked the CBI to seek cancellation of bail, if he violates the court order.

The court gave the order following a petition filed by Jagan’s counsel on September 9. Jagan was arrested on May 27, 2012, following a two-day interrogation by the CBI officials. He has been named as Accused No. 1 in all the 10 charge sheets filed by the CBI so far. He is all set to be released by evening, it is learnt.
