South superstar Rajinikanth is apparently out of Pongal race. His much awaited film Kochadaiyaan (Vikram Simha in Telugu), which has been in making for a longtime, is supposed to hit the screens this Sankranthi ie, on January 10. And it was expected to clash with Mahesh Babu’s One directed by Sukumar which is also set to release on the same date.
But going by the latest buzz, Rajini has backed out of this race and is likely to postpone his film’s release.
On the other hand, Rajini was supposed to clash with Vijay’s Jilla and Ajith’s Veeram during Pongal. Rajini, who is known for his bigheartedness, wants to stay away from the race considering the requests of few distributors in Tamil Nadu. With this, Rajini has given way to Mahesh Babu in Telugu.
An official confirmation on the postponement of Vikram Simha’s release will be made during the audio launch of the film on the eve of Rajini’s birthday on December 12.
