Story: I am sorry. It is really a tough job to write this films story in just few lines. Director showed many things and concluded that love persist every where if you look with a pure heart. I'll see if I can fill up this section when I watch it for 2nd time.
Analysis: what can I say about this movie..rather I'ld keep mum. All I understood in those 3 hours is, this movie is a hyper-reality. The film goes on in a non-linear narration with non-sequential scenes. Selva raghavan narrated us 2 different stories in two different worlds simultaneously. I really don't understand why this director puts an end to the lady protagonist characters in his every movie. All the audience got miffed up with this movie.
Chitriyala Perspective: There is something beyond our understanding. Common audience will not like this movie but we need to see whether critical thinkers can understand it. Pale narration, poor establishment and introduction made audience sleepy. Simply, a bheja fry. Visual effects are really good and only visual effects are good. They made audience feel as if they are in other world. Like they said, yeah, its truly a VFX extravaganza. It seems, Raghavan might have borrowed few animals from Cameroon's Avataar. Poor camera work at few places. Pictures were out focused. No, you may thing it as a recent trend and technique but truly there are few flaws.
Performances: Honestly, Arya's performance is awesome. He played his role with utmost care and handled well. Anushka is pretty good with her
performance. She has done sword fights with ease. Rest of all did their part well.
Technicalities: apart from few flaws, camera work is too good. VFX is the one which should be highly appreciated . The BGM is quite good.
• 10 minutes of interval break • Graphics and other Visual Effects
• Arya’s over performance • Anushka’s Performance as Varna
Minus Points:
• Confusing story and slow pace narration • Non-Sense for most of the time
Final word: What this director tried to convey?
Varna Movie Rating: 1.5/5
